Hey, I’m Josh! I’m a tattoo artist currently working out of Painted Soul Arts in Montclair, NJ.

I began tattooing in 2020 through an apprenticeship with the mentorship of renowned artists Cinar Topakli and Emma Grace.

I’ve been an artist all my life, since I was a kid drawing pictures of planets and aliens with crayons. I took as many art classes as I could in school and went on to study Illustration at the New England College of Art and Design. Now I have a career drawing permanent works of art on peoples skin and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

I like to work in a mix of styles including fine line, illustrative, realism, often mixing abstract and geometric elements.

I mostly focus on black and grey work, but I do enjoy mixing in some color from time to time.I take inspiration from all things nature, music, fiction and philosophy. I feel my artistic style is constantly evolving as I learn and add new techniques to my toolbox. Sometimes I’m not really sure what I want to draw, and that’s where you come in!
